The design "Existencias limitadas" (Limited Stocks) by Alejandro Schulze Hobbeling Estebán from Spain was the winner of the competition "Design the Poster of the Festival" on the theme of "Climate Change." In the author's words: "The work represents the extinction of many animal species; in this case, five threatened species are shown: the white shark, the polar bear, the Atlantic walrus, the emperor penguin, and the monarch butterfly. They are all depicted with drops falling on a barcode. The drops that spill from the animals' bodies represent the depletion of the species as a metaphor between animal and environmental extinction along with consumerist, industrial issues".
We are grateful for the over 150 pieces received from Latin America and Spain!
Congratulations, and a very special thank you to the winner.
